My Bio
I began teaching myself about 5 years ago in Kailua, Oahu. I accidentally checked out a book by Frederick Franck, he was terrific and his drawings seemed so simple that I thought to myself"Jeez , how much easier could this be. Anyway it was a lot more difficult than it seemed but that even motivated me even more, checking out art books in different libraries became compulsive and also took away a lot of my depressions. Many authors would absolutely insist that art is a lot more practice, practice , practice than anything else. Anyway one thing led to another so somehow I found out about sessions drawing the human figure at the Art Academy and Universities that were incredibly motivating, fellow artists that were really good and the grems like me were all in the struggle. Well I hope all this is helping someone out there to stay motivated and keep drawing even when you think you're going nowhere, it's a moody meditation.
